"The [IoE Research] seminar showed us how much has been done in this space, and it also showed us how much more work needs to be done”
Key Takeaways
This seminar covered a diverse array of topics within the Asia-Pacific ecosystem, showcasing the progress already made in the region. “The [IoE Research] seminar showed us how much has been done in this space, and it also showed us how much more work needs to be done”, said Nam-ho Park, a presenter and member of the Asia-Pacific Lab.
Perhaps the most important takeaway from the IoE Research Seminar was the breadth and depth of activity around new collaborative education infrastructures across the Asia Pacific region. From the micro-credentialing work of the Indonesia Cyber Education Institute (ICE-I), to the multinational project of RECSIE and Digitary, to the grassroots approach found within Malaysia, each of these initiatives is an example of the enthusiasm present in the Asia Pacific. These discussions will drive the research focus of the AP-Lab and serve as the foundation for continued progress.
Alongside the seminar, the IoE Research Seminar set out a call for open knowledge products. Listed below are some of these submissions:
A Technology–User-Environment Perspective to understand implementation of Online Learning Platforms in Asia - Chei Sian Lee, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore
AI Chatbot As An Effective Way to Enhance Learning Process - Khadija El Azhari, University Mohammed V at Rabat, Morocco
As we continue to gather and synthesize outputs from the seminar, we’ll update this page with links and resources for all to share.
